dan sorga menyatakan segala
The heav’ns God’s glory do declare, the skies
His
keagunganNya; Tiap hari dan
tiap malam
Handiworks teach; Day after day their speech pours
terus kebenaran
dibritakan.
Forth. And knowledge, night after night.
Sungguh suatu hal
yang baru yang tak pernah
There is no speech nor spoken word; their voice is
terpikir. Namun ia telah
Never heard; And yet their voice spreads to
menyebar masuk ke s’luruh
penjuru dunia.
All the earth, their works to the ends of the world.
2. Matahari telah
diciptaNya
The heav’ns a tent for the sun He made, which
comes forth
Terbit dari ufuk timur,
bersinar dengan terang
Like a bride groom, Leaving his chamber, glowing
Beredar dengan gembiranya.
bright, to run his course with joy
Dari ujung langit timur
menuju ujung barat
From heaven’s end its rising is, its circuit
Tak satupun yang
tersembunyi
To its end; And there is nothing
dari terik panasnya.
From its heat, no, nothing is hidden there of.
3. Hukum Allah itu
sempurna
The law of God is a perfect law, for it con
menyegarkan jiwa, sungguh
benar firman
verts the soul; sure are the sayings of our
Allah membuat manusia
berhikmat.
God, they make the simple wise.
Sungguh adil putusan Allah
Statutes of God are right and just, and do
membuat hati bersuka; Murni
sungguh
rejoice the heart; The Lord’s commandments are
perintah Allah menerangi
hati kita.
pure and clear, and light to the mind impart.
