Identify from Map 1 where you are approximately located. You will then need to get to one of the following hiways:
Hiway 36 ---comes from Boulder in the NW quadrant of the map. Only Louisville
is showing.
I-25 ---major NS interstate hiway located in the middle of the map
I-70 ---major EW interstate hiway located in the middle of the map
I-225 --this hiway only runs between I-70 in the east to I-25 in the south
Another option is C-470 but on the east side of Denver (from I-25 in the south)
this hiway turns into toll road. I would avoid this hiway except on the west
side.
Look at the map and see which hiway looks like it will take you toward the "Littleton Community Center."
If you go (from Map 1) to I-225 then you need to head south to I-25. You need to go south (towards Colorado Springs) on I-25 and exit at C-470 going west (towards the mountains). Follow the directions from C-470 given below.
If you are on the upper portion (according to map) of C-470 on the west side then head south to the Ken Caryl exit. Go east on Ken Caryl (away from mountains). You will travel east to the traffic light shown on the following map 3 which is Clay St. Turn right at Clay St. and follow the directions listed below.
If you are east of the Ken Caryl exit or coming from I-25 then you need take C-470 to the Wadsworth exit. Go north (mountains on your left) approx. 2 miles and you will come to a traffic light at the corner of Ken Caryl Ave. and Wadsworth Blvd. Turn left/west (toward mountains) to the very next traffic light (Clay St.). Turn left (mtns. on your right) about 1/4 of a mile to Fairview Ave. Turn right at Fairview Ave. (toward mtns.). The first street you come to should be Fairview Dr. Turn right there and follow it around to the meeting place.
If you are on Hiway 36 I suggest you take a longer route as once you know where the place is you can choose a different route. Go toward Denver and exit south on I-25. Take I-25 down to the Santa Fe exit (you can only go one way). Travel down Santa Fe until you come to Mineral Ave. The light rail station will be on the northwest corner and you will see a walk bridge over Santa Fe. Turn west on Mineral. You will come to an angle street about 1 to 1 1/2 mile called S. Platte Canyon Rd. There will be a traffic light there. At this corner Mineral Ave. turns into Ken Caryl Ave. Keep going west until you come to Wadsworth Ave (traffic light). Keep going straight and within 1/4 of a mile you will come to another traffic light at Clay St. Turn left and follow the instructions from there given above.
If you are on I-25 and you are north of the Santa Fe exit (shown on the map) then take Santa Fe and follow the directions above. If you are slightly south of that intersection than you can go back to the Santa Fe exit (kind of tricky to get to Santa Fe going south) from the exit. You can continue south along I-25 and go to C-470. Take C-470 west towards the mountains and follow the instructions given for I-225 above.
If you are on I-70 west of I-25 then take the I-25 exit and follow instructions given above for Hiway 36. If you are further east of the I-25 exit then you can go to I-225 and follow the instructions for I-225 above. You can only turn one direction (south) from I-70 to I-225 (I-225 does not go north from I-70), so you should have no trouble.
You will notice on this map that C-470 is shown in green from I-25 and C-470. The green section is the toll road.
